The last thing one would think a father would want to be doing, especially when it comes to his children, is babysitting. But that was certainly the case for the three nene, when they were young. Their father was the head of security for one of the Visionaries, Dr. Janette Nesheiwat. That said, they didn’t always have the best father. At some point, his son John Nesheiwat had an affair with the daughter of one of the Visionaries, Mary Bess, and she died. The Nenes were devastated, and so they looked for a way to bring back their daughter’s memory. One night, when John Nesheiwat was babysitting, he suddenly had a vivid memory of Mary Bess.
It sounds like our favorite memory of the Nenes’ family is Mary Bess dying. But before we get into that, there was a bit of background. The Nenes were poor, and it seemed that John Nesheiwat had somehow been forgotten by his father, who was always out on the town. So when the Nenes brought him home for the weekend, he had to explain that he had an affair with his own girlfriend.
