This is the most common question I get asked (and I get asked this a lot). I know this is an issue that is often overlooked. We expand a lot, and sometimes we have to.
Smash-up expansions are a great way to introduce some new features into a game and make it more accessible. Sometimes, there are new features in the game like a new weapon, or a brand-spanking new story. But in other cases, we have to expand the game to make it better for new players. In the case of Smash-up expansions, we expand existing content a little more often than we add new content.
Smash-up expansions are a little more complicated than just adding new content. They usually begin with a new story or new quest that is set in the same world. We add new areas to the world and then expand the story with new quests, characters, and weapons. Some of these expansions also add new abilities, new characters, and new weapons. At this point you’d be able to just jump into the game and get to work, but it’s a little inconvenient.
This is where in-game store comes in, where you can purchase new content from the store that is added every couple of weeks. We have a store here at the studio that is full of all kinds of cool stuff. The more often we add new content, the more we have to sell it off to the store.
This is why a lot of publishers have to have some kind of online store. Many of these publishers are small-time developers and developers that don’t have a lot of money or marketing budget. They have to keep their content up to date. Plus it’s a little inconvenient to buy new content when you’re in the middle of a development cycle.
Smash up expansion is an expansion that does not actually add new content to the game. Instead it can be sold as part of the original game, for a set price. They usually come with a bunch of extra modes, and sometimes there are some extra goodies to do with them.
So if you have a game that youd like to sell as an expansion, you can do that, and you can do it here. But smash up is meant to be a small-time developers and developers that cant afford a marketing budget. They have to keep their content up to date. Plus its a little inconvenient to buy new content when youre in the middle of a development cycle.
Smash up works in a couple of different ways. First of all, if you want to sell it as an expansion for a game that you have no intention of playing, you can do that. Then you can do this website and it will link directly to the store page. But smash up is meant to be a small-time developers and developers that cant afford a marketing budget. They have to keep their content up to date.
And since you can upload your content to the store, it also gives you the ability to update your site and it will notify users when there are any changes. The only issue is that it only works for the first month of the game’s release. I think that’s probably okay, because the longer someone plays, the more frequent the updates become.
I have to say that the only way to really test out the update system is to update your game on a daily basis. This is because it gives you a real-time feedback of how you are doing. But I have to give it to the devs, they did a good job at keeping up with what was going on in the community. I think the only issue is that you have to pay a $40 fee to get the update.
